The Technics SL-1210GR2 is a professional direct-drive turntable featuring a revolutionary drive control method for smooth, accurate rotational stability, and a new power supply for an exceptionally low noise floor. The SL-1210GR2 model builds on the reputation of the industry-standard SL-1200 design and was developed around the iconic iron-coreless direct-drive motor with its superior rotational precision. The mechanical design of the SL-1210GR2 includes a rock-solid two-layered bottom chassis made of aluminum and BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound), the combination of which enables high resistance against vibrations. Also featured are the two-layered platter made of aluminum and dampened by heavy-weight rubber, high-sensitivity S-shaped aluminum tonearm and effective insulator feet. All of this adds up to an impeccable turntable with an accurate response and extremely low noise floor.
